Jesus the First Fruits
The Feast of First Fruits falls on Easter Sunday this year —it doesn’t always. It begins at sundown on Saturday, April 4, and ends at sundown on Sunday, April 5.
The Feast of First Fruits always falls on the first day of the week, as it foreshadowed the resurrection of Messiah, who was the Lamb of God crucified on Passover. He rose as the first fruits of the dead on the Feast of First Fruits. That is why the earliest Christians began worshipping on the first day of the week, and most especially why we always honor his resurrection on a Sunday.
My book, Redemption: Bible Prophecy Simplified, A Study of HOPE, is based on the Feasts of the LORD and what they foretold.
