And after six days Jesus took Peter James and John his brother and brought them up into a high mountain apart And was transfigured before them and his face did shine as the sun and his raiment was white as the light And behold there appeared to them Moses and Elias talking with him Then answered Peter and said to Jesus Lord it is good for us to be here If you will let us, make here three tabernacles one for you and one for Moses and one for Elias
Comments: Zechariah saw two standing beside the Lord of the Whole Earth (Jesus) Zechariah 4:11-14. Revelation 11:4 identifies the two that Zechariah saw as the Two Witnesses. Revelation 11:16 identifies the Two Witnesses as those who have power to send plagues and stop rain. Matthew 17:3-4 identifies these two as Moses and Elijah.
And his disciples asked him saying Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come Malachi 4:5-6 And Jesus answered and said to them Elias truly shall first come and restore all things
Comments: Matthew 17:10-11 There is little debate that Elijah will be one of the two witnesses of Revelation 11. Malachi said it plainly Malachi 4:5-6. The other will be Moses. The Two Witnesses of Revelation 11 will come with the same signs that marked their ministries the first time they were on earth—the plagues of Egypt (Moses), and the 3½ years of no rain (Elijah).

Note from the editor: I read my Bible every day, always picking up today where I left off yesterday. I call this my “on-track” Bible reading. I have been doing this for over 44 years. It was the best advice I was ever given, and it changed my life. If you are not presently doing the same, I invite you to join me. How much you read on a daily basis isn’t important. It only matters that you read, feeding your spirit with a prayerful dose of the living and powerful Word of God.
